Communication Strategies is assisting a public sector client with the replacement of a 20 year old Unified Communications platform. The project has been ongoing for almost a year and the final selection process is nearly complete. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact on public sector revenues the management team wisely elected to suspend all discretionary projects.
Com-Strat was asked to perform an objective business case evaluation with the goal of providing a basis for management to determine whether the project was discretionary or non-discretionary.
Com-Strat studied the risks and opportunities for the two options (proceed/delay) and provided a detailed report outlining the pros and cons of each scenario. The project was ultimately approved to proceed based upon a careful review and is now on schedule for deployment.
